Imal Gnawa

New York City’s Imal Gnawa merges ancient Moroccan Gnawa tradition with futuristic electronic soundscapes. After releasing their debut EP Twilight Prophecy on New York’s We Be Friend’s label, they have quickly joined the ranks of New York’s avant garde melting pot. “A massive, heavy listen,” according to Dada Strain, Imal Gnawa performed live on WFMU’s Transpacific Sound Paradise, WNYC’s All of It at the NYPL, The Lot Radio, Habibi Fest, Joe’s Pub, and are in residency at staple Brooklyn music venue Barbes.

There is a $30 food and beverage minimum per person for this show. We ask that conversation be kept to a low volume/whisper during the performance.
